Horizon Proves Best Solution For Councils
15/04/2010
Horizon Signs proved that quality and cost effectiveness are the key to success as it celebrated more contract wins to supply councils with its timetable poster cases.
Councils from Huddersfield, Leeds,
In a time when cutting costs but also providing quality products that withstand vandalism and the British weather are of high importance to councils, Horizon’s solution ticks all the boxes.
Using its expertise, Horizon has constantly updated and adapted the design and materials used for its poster case over the last ten years to create a unique product for the market.
The cases were initially manufactured from steel which was bulky, heavy, hard to assemble and would rust after a year or two. Horizon recognised the opportunity to produce a lighter unit that didn’t rust so it started to use aluminium and designed its own unique extrusion for the frame. This means that the cases are more robust but lightweight, quicker to assemble and are vandal and weather resistant.
Horizon is able to offer its customers a bespoke service as the cases can be made to specific size and colour requirements. This gives the company an advantage over many of its competitors who rely on set sizes which they import and do not have access to their own power coating works as Horizon do.
George Foster, Director at Horizon Signs, said: “Our poster cases account for around 80% of our total sales so it is important for us to constantly develop them so that they are accessible and affordable, allowing our customers to invest in quality signage whilst saving costs in the long term.”
